MANILA – Following reports in January of Spotify coming to the country, the music streaming service will soon be available in the Philippines through their nearly two-year old partnership with Coca-Cola.
Spotify first partnered with Coca-Cola since April 2012, with the beverage brand integrating the service into its social media presence.
True to the deal, Coca-Cola Philippines recently announced the launch of Spotify on its Facebook page by inviting its followers to send an email to them for free exclusive first access to the service. As of now, Spotify can only be accessed through the access code provided by Coca-Cola.
Apart from the music also available in global versions of Spotify, the Philippine version also includes local artists such as Sarah Geronimo, Martin Nievera, The Oktaves, and Imago.
Through Spotify, users can stream music either through a free plan that includes ads, or an ad-free subscription for P129/ month for unlimited listening and an option to download music.
Before coming to the Philippines, the service launched in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
