MANILA, PHILIPPINES  He has sparked the attention of literary fans with his work on the Trese comic series, The Lost Journal of Alejandro Pardo, and Mikey Recio and the Secret of the Demon Dungeon. Budjette Tan’s interest in Filipino culture and old literary pieces has allowed him to challenge the boundaries of magical realism.

While Philippine mythology has always been a fascinating genre in literature, Budjette always thought of moving things forward. “Can we give it a different spin,” has been his mindset—which explains why his literary works have always been uniquely his.

Tan currently works with Lego Denmark. Before that, he has been with McCann Worldgroup for several years. Among his achievements there is bagging the Digital Ad Agency of the Year award at the Campaign Asia Agency of the Year Award Show.
