DDB Philippines announces new promotions

MANILA – DDB PHL announced management changes starting with the movement of Jimmo Garcia as ECD. Jimmo joined DDB PHL in May 2011 as Creative Director for Smart Telecommunications’ Prepaid Business. In March 2012, he was promoted to Deputy ECD.

Effective this month as ECD, Jimmo will also oversee DDB PHL’s other brands like Mang Inasal, Aseana City, J&J, and BDO (Corporate & Loans). Jimmo led DDB PHL in its recent wins which include:

Other management movements at DDB PHL include Diane Welsh-Capile as Business Unit Director. She joined DDB in 2012 and, together with Jimmo, was key in mounting Smart’s “Jump In” Campaign which received a Merit Citation from the International Gold Quill Awards in 2014 and the Top Award from the Philippine Quill Awards in 2014. Diane also heads the group that helped Mang Inasal achieve 30-months of consecutive double-digit growth.

Meg Badilla has been named new Group Account Director. Meg joined DDB in 2014 to handle the newly-acquired J&J brands of DDB. Her stellar performance on account management and new business development has earned her this much-deserved promotion in less than two years at the agency. Under her leadership, together with the J&J creative team, DDB won three Bronzes and three Silvers for Modess at the Johnson & Johnson Ripple Awards in 2015.

Last but not least, Mark Ngo was named as Creative Director. He joined DDB in 2011 as an Art Director and was one of the Philippine Representatives to the Cannes Young Lions in 2012.Mark was the lone craftsman for the award-winning “Paper Back,” DDB’s upcycling project that brought used paper back to life. He was promoted to Associate Creative Director in 2015. With his promotion to Creative Director, Mark now heads the creative teams for Smart Prepaid and Mang Inasal.
