MANILA- DDB Philippines, Dentsu Philippines and TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno have made it in the shortlist for the Design Category at the 2015 London International Awards (LIA).
Four entries have made the cut out of 184 entries, with two coming from TBWA for “Hana Billboard,” a floating billboard that can clean rivers, for Japanese personal care brand Shokubutsu Hana.
This campaign has hauled a commendable number of metals globally, including a Bronze Cannes Lions Health, a Grand Clio Image Award, a Wood Pencil at D&AD, one Silver Pencil and two Bronze Pencils at One Show Awards.
DDB’s shortlisted entry is titled “Salbabote: Keeping Families Together Come Hell or High Water” for the One Meralco Foundation. A collaboration with Pepsi and Glad, it’s a improvised flotation device made of empty 1-liter Pepsi bottles enclosed in a strong rubber mesh bag which may be worn like a typical life vest.
In the running for the LIA winner’s podium is Dentsu for a series of posters for Yamaha Motorcycles. Titled “5 Percent”, “16 Percent”, and “23 Percent,” it’s comprised of three visuals of clever infographics showing statistics on motorcycle safety.
