MANILA – The award-winning creative duo from DDB Tribal Philippines has been selected to compete in this year’s New Stars AD Competition in South Korea. Copy-Art tandem, Andi Olbés and Nikki Sunga, who—one-year prior, represented the country in the Young Lions 2016 competition in Cannes, will now take on 33 other teams in this 30-hour creative challenge. The competition will be held at the AD STARS 2017 festival in Busan this August 23 to 26.

“It will be very interesting to get a first-hand grasp on East Asian design and advertising trends while channeling Southeast Asian insights and technique,” commented Olbés.

The competition invites young creatives (under the age of 30) from all over the world to participate in an overnight brief, racing to conceptualize strategic creative solutions. The teams were selected from an international roster of entrants, with finalists hailing from across Europe and Asia. It is the first time a Philippine team will be participating competition.

“We are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to represent the Philippines once again in this new creative challenge. I’m sure the experience will be both inspiring and enlightening,” added Sunga.
