Dentsu Aegis Network dominates first MSAP Ice Awards

MANILA – Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has emerged as the most-warded media network at the inaugural Ice Awards of the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines, held last Wednesday at Ayala Tower One.

A total of 25 awards were handed out, with 8 brought home by DAN sister agencies. No gold awards were given, but DAN secured 2 of 3 silvers in the contest. Starcom Mediavest was the other silver award recipient.

Carat and Mediaforce Vizeum won the silver gongs for the campaigns “Puso to the Max” for client Max’s Chicken and “Filter-Free Summer” for Glyderm, respectively. The rest are bronze awards (Carat 4, Mediaforce 1, Dentsu Media 1).

The Ice Awards aims to recognize the works of media agencies in the Philippines. “MSAP commits to be a catalyst of our own industry,” said former MSAP President and Starcom Mediavest CEO Joanna Mojica during its launch at the MSAP Media Congress 2015 last April.

There are a number of award giving bodies recognizing the works of creative agencies in the country so this time, MSAP would like media agencies to take the spotlight. MSAP vowed to co-support the grand prix winner of the Ice Awards to represent the Philippines in international awards such as Festival of Media, Cannes Lions and Spikes.
