MANILA, Philippines — Filipina designer Raxenne Maniquiz has been making the rounds in the industry after being included in the The One Club APAC Young Guns winners.
Of the 19 winners, eight are from Asia Pacific (China, India, Japan, Macau, Philippines and South Korea).
A program of The One Club for Creativity, the world’s foremost non-profit organization recognizing creative excellence in advertising and design, Young Guns is the industry’s only global, cross-disciplinary, portfolio-based awards competition that identifies and celebrates today’s vanguard of young creatives.
The young designer specializes in illustrating endemic flora and fauna. She previously designed a line of MAC lipsticks, turning each one into cities.
“I’m so happy to share that I’m a Young Gun! Honored and grateful to be a part of this year’s roster. Huge thanks to the jury for believing in my work!” said Maniquiz.
Maniquiz was featured recently on adobo SheCreative where she talked about her illustration journey with flora. She was also at Graphika 2020 where she bared her freelancing journey.
The designer also congratulated her fellow winners and expressed that while she may not be able to go to New York, she hopes to meet everyone in another time.
This year’s winners will be recognized at the in-person Young Guns 19 celebration and party, taking place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Sony Hall in New York.
