MANILA – Helmed by Carlo Ople, Managing Director and Partner, and Eugene Demata, Executive Creative Director, Di9it continues 2014 with a stronger leadership team.

Joining the agency as their new Director for Social Media is Acee Vitangcol, a certified digital marketer with a unique background in socio-anthropology, market research, and digital media. His professional career started in TNS / Kantar Worldpanel where he learned and refined his skills in research and marketing. He then got bitten by the digital bug and moved on to ABS-CBN as their digital strategist for News & Current Affairs. He was eventually tapped by Havas Media Ortega as their Social Planner, where he serviced several blue-chip clients like Globe, Unilever, LBC, and Krispy Kreme.

“Acee is an exceptional digital marketer who has a wealth of experience in media, analytics, social, and publishing. He’s another example of the ideal digital marketer that we’re after in Di9it. Broad knowledge across the different disciplines of digital while specializing in key areas like Social,” said Ople.

“I look forward to getting my hands dirty with people passionate about all things digital in a company that fosters a culture of innovation and creativity!” shared Vitangcol on his appointment.

Di9it’s roster of new hires includes Essa Balao as CRM Director. Balao’s six years in advertising started with Mediacom as Communications Planner, handling multi-platform executions for a number of P&G brands. In 2012, Balao joined the CRM Team of Movent, the company then known as NetBooster Asia, where she eventually spearheaded the agency’s eCRM campaigns for Globe, Del Monte Philippines, Wyeth and Starbucks.

“Aside from the lure of getting to be part of such a creative and dynamic environment, I welcomed the challenge of building Di9it’s CRM Department from the ground up,” said Balao.

In an agency whose DNA includes the country’s first Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Digital, Balao’s contributions will truly matter.  “I intend to establish eCRM as a viable channel that can be utilized to execute award-winning creative ideas,” she added.

The influx of talent also includes Julia Pronstroller as Group Account Director. Pronstroller returns to the DM9 headquarters where she took care of clients Smart Corporate, Potencee, Ascoff, TV5, and Belo as Account Director.

“Julia brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team and we’re happy to have her on board,” shared Carlo Ople, Di9it Managing Director & Partner. “She’s from a rare breed of suits that can do both digital and ATL making her an invaluable asset to Di9it,” Ople added.

Though no stranger to the job, or the people, Pronstroller still jumped at the chance to join Di9it.  “New year, new job, new adventure! I’m certainly looking forward to fully embrace digital and it’s cool that I will be working alongside with the best people in the industry,” Pronstroller said.

Prior to Di9it, Pronstroller spent six years with Gallardo & Associates where she was responsible for leading client servicing, and account management for her business unit.

Getting new people is the natural evolution of a business that’s growing.  Much is expected from Ople’s new hires, handpicked as they were with the same attention to detail that is Di9it’s trademark, and what wows audiences and judges worldwide.

“Finding the right people is actually one of the most difficult things to do in our industry. Digital is still young in the country and the talent pool is still growing. That’s why it’s absolutely critical that we clearly define the DNA of the marketers and creatives that we want to come on board Di9it. Julia, Essa, and Acee bring a lot of value to the table and our clients will definitely benefit from them immensely,” said Ople.
