MANILA – DM9 JaymeSyfu led the Philippine finalists at the 2014 New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising, with their ‘TXTBKS’ campaign making it in five categories.
The campaign for Smart Communications was listed as a finalist in the following categories: Avant-Garde, Interactive, Low-budget, Mobile, and Promotion of Peace & Human Rights.
The ‘TXTBKS’ campaign breathes life into surplus sim cards and outdated mobile handsets by turning them into digital text books for public school students. It has already won several other awards in both local and global shows, including the country’s first-ever Grand Prix in Mobile at the 2013 Cannes Lions.
DM9 JaymeSyfu’s ‘No-Slip Grip’ for Garden Barn, Inc. was also a finalist in the Home Appliances & Furnishings category.
TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno’s ‘Koi Fish Feed Invite’ for Ayala Land Inc. was a finalist in three categories: Mailings, Environmental Issues, and Corporate Image, Information & Recruitment. ‘Koi Fish Feed Invite’ enticed visitors to feed the fish at Nuvali with edible invitations.
Meanwhile, the agency’s ‘Tree Lungs’ for Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philippines Inc. was a finalist in the Ambient category.
The campaign, which earned a silver trophy at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in 2013, uses Boysen KNoXOUT paint to brighten and help clean EDSA, one of the country’s busiest thoroughfares.
‘Press’ and ‘Hold’, McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ work for the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc., were finalists in the Civic & Social Education categories. In 2013, the tongue-in-cheek spots received Silvers in Radio at Cannes.
Meanwhile, Campaigns & Grey’s ‘Rafting’ for Quezon Province was a finalist in the Art Direction category.
