MANILA – Most of us enjoy the privilege of shopping and choosing the best outfit that will match the season. However, for some people, they never experience this kind of treat. Our homeless brothers and sisters continually lack clothes, shoes, and resources to cloak them especially this rainy season. In pursuit of helping them, The Street Store puts together a pop-up store stocked by donations that aim to give them the opportunity to choose the items that they need and like, and to feel that gratifying customer-experience, totally for free!
“One of the reasons why we decided to host a Street Store is because of its out of the box idea that challenges the current norm of pre-packed donations. The Street Store doesn’t just help to clothe the homeless, but also it empowers them by giving the retail experience of looking around and choosing their own clothes.” Jana Bunagan, the founder of Create Good PH shares.
How can you help?
Gather all your used clothes and prepare them for donation. There are three drop-off points in Metro Manila, covering the areas from south to north. Donations aren’t limited to clothes. If you have old bags, shoes, blankets, toys or anything that you think will be useful, Street Store will accept them with open arms.
Can’t donate it personally? Lalamove it!
Street Store drop off points are strategically mapped across the metro for everyone. If donating your used items can’t fit your schedule, just have it delivered through Lalamove! As Street Store’s logistics partner, Lalamove is willing to help out people that wants to donate by giving them a promo code.
Albert Go, the Country Director of LalamovePH shares that “This is a great opportunity for us to show our wide array of services. We don’t just help drivers to earn a living or small businesses to expand, but we move things that matter.”
You can use the promo code “GOODPH” to get Php 100 off. With this partnership, you wouldn’t need to brave the weather or heavy traffic just to reach a donation center. To use Lalamove delivery for your donation, here are the steps.
The Street Store drop off points accepts donations until July 27 and the pop up event will happen on July 28, 2018 at the Sto. Nino Parish, Novaliches.
