MANILA – Globe Telecom’s Chee Loo Fun will cease to be the Senior Advisor for Consumer Marketing, effective December 31.
Loo Fun joined Globe in 2011, bringing her many years of in-depth telco and brand expertise to help continue the strong growth momentum of the company’s Consumer Business.
Loo Fun led the prepaid business to launch holistic offerings and propositions, as well as established the framework for a customer segmentation view across the different brands. She also headed the strategic development of the revitalized Globe brand and its re-launch in late 2013.
Meanwhile, G-Xchange, Inc. has appointed Xavier Marzan as president following the resignation of Paolo Baltao, effective December 1. Marzan’s new post is concurrent to his role as GXI chief operating officer.
Baltao spent the last decade building the telco’s mobile commerce business, putting greater intensity in scaling up new businesses and equal emphasis on emerging opportunities around mobile payments, m-commerce, and mobile financial services.
Under his leadership, GXI has introduced products that are market firsts and are non-traditional of financial institutions such as Power Pay Plus, American Express Virtual Pay, and Globe Charge.
