MANILA – Galleria Duemila is set to host Edwin Coscolluela’s latest exhibit, Images. In Images, Coscolluela takes his practice in the domain of kinetic abstraction, offering digitally rendered, process-reliant, and design-oriented compositions.
Here, dazed combinations of halftones, lines, motion, and continual change present a minimal outlook in non-objective image making. Motion is a recurring theme; he presents this through fading geometric forms and lines that quiver. All this generates an urgent exchange with the spectator. Although emptied of familiar representations, the compositions are laden with the desire to provide an immediate experience.
An accomplished artist Coscolluela’s work has been exhibited in more than seventy group shows. Images will be on view from January 24, 2015 – February 24, 2015 at Galleria Duemila, located at: 210 loring St., Pasay City 1300.
