Globe Telecom postpaid revenues hit P22 billion

MANILA – Globe Telecom posted an 11 percent increase in postpaid revenues from last year, as postpaid revenues hit P22 billion as of end-September this year. 

With this achievement, the company’s postpaid segment continued to provide solid contributions to overall mobile revenues, with postpaid revenues forming 38 percent of total mobile revenues as of the first nine months of 2014. Globe mobile revenues reached P57.6 billion, a 6 percent year-on-year growth against the P54.1 billion revenues recorded during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, postpaid base as of end-September 2014 has grown to 2.2 million, a 9 percent growth from last year’s 2 million. The continued success of the fully-customizable and best-in-class postpaid plans, together with the exclusive device offers and innovative deals, helped boost gross additions to reach 614,905 for the first nine months of the year, up 15 percent from 534,615 in the same period last year.

Issa Cabreira, Senior Vice President for Consumer Mobile Marketing at Globe, expects the postpaid business to end the year on a high note with sustained growth in revenues and customer base, on the heels on its innovative offers for the newest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
