MANILA – GMA Network counted the most number of finalists among Philippine contenders with eight entries making the shortlist of the 2015 New York Festivals World’s Best TV and Films competition.
The network had finalist entries in the following categories: Best Camerawork, Best Public Affairs Program, Biography/ Profiles, Community Portraits, Documentaries, Human Concerns, Human Interest, and Station/ Image Promotion.
Meanwhile, rival network ABS-CBN had four entries advance to the finalist round in the categories of Best Coverage of Breaking News, Cinematography, National/ International Affairs, and News Promotion.
TV5 Network counts one finalist entry in the Human Concerns category.
Ignatius Films also made the shortlist in the Feature Film category.
All finalists will proceed to a second round of judging by award-winning industry experts from around the globe. Winners will be presented at the 2015 Television and Film Awards Ceremony scheduled on April 14 in Las Vegas.
