GMA promotes executives

MANILA – GMA Network has recently made a series of promotions, elevating ten people to officer positions.

Elvis B. Ancheta was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of the Engineering Group. Ancheta is credited with implementing the top-grade VHF television transmitters of GMA and QTV (now GNTV) in Mega Manila in 2005 a

s well as leading the realization of the Network’s superior signal quality and wider reach in numerous regions and provinces in the country.

As the new SVP for Engineering, Ancheta will manage the over-all function of the Engineering Group and will continue to lead the company’s Transmission and Regional Engineering Department. Ancheta obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering degree at Saint Louis University.

Jay V. Fuentes was promoted to First Vice President and Head of Content Management and On-Air Systems Department, bringing 20 years of digital broadcast experience to his new position. Fuentes will continue to be responsible for the leadership and management of the Network’s content management and on-air broadcast facilities. He holds an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree from De La Salle University Manila.
 
Meanwhile, Paul P. Ticzon was named Vice President and Head of Operations for Post Production. As the new VP for Post Production, he will continue to lead and oversee all long-form, short-form and digital requirements of the Network across all platforms (local, international and beyond TV). Ticzon joined GMA in 2003 and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies Major in Advertising from the Ateneo de Manila University.
 
Angela Javier-Cruz, meanwhile, was promoted to Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications. An experienced Public Relations practitioner, she is responsible for managing all PR and Publicity initiatives of the Network. She has been with the company since 2006 and studied Broadcast Communications at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
 
Amerigo L. Santos, on the other hand, was promoted to Senior AVP and Division Head of Regional Transmission and Operations Division, while maintaining his post as concurrent Head of Broadcast Engineering Services Division.
 
Rolando G. Sanico, Jr. was promoted to Senior AVP, Subsidiaries Financial Accounting and Systems Division (Finance Department), while Mr. Jose S. Toledowas promoted to Senior AVP, Budget and Payroll Division (Finance Department). Venus E. Bartolabac, on the other hand, was promoted to Senior AVP, National/Mega Manila TV Programming Research Division (Research Department).
 
Also promoted to AVP positions were Lino R. Coloma (Division Head of Electronic Field Production, Production Engineering Department), Jeffry Q. Evangelista (Division Head of Studio Operations, Production Engineering Department) and Hasmin A. Marable (Marketing Communications, Program Support Department).
