MANILA – In celebration of Buwan ng Wika this August, Grab is introducing a new way to ride–GrabKalesa.
On August 20-21, from 2-5pm, Grab is inviting its users to take a tour around the historic walled city, Intramuros, using the traditional kalesa. Interested passengers can simply book the tour using the Grab app.
The tour will start at Plaza Roma and will go around General Luna, Real, Sta. Lucia, Muralla, A. Soriano Avenue, Sta. Clara, and Arzobispo. Some of the sites that you will see include the Manila Cathedral, Palacio Del Sana, and Baluarte De San Andres.
To book a tour, just type PLAZA ROMA in both the Pick-up & Drop-off point (or else the booking won’t go through). The kalesa will only carry a maximum of 3 people. The tour will last for 30 minutes and it’s free of charge.
For those who are worried about the data charges, Grab is also providing free WiFi hotspots at Plaza de Roma.
All booking proceeds will go to the kutseros who will be servicing the trips.
