Graphika Manila extends early bird deadline

MANILA – Graphika Manila, the annual creativity conference for young artists and designers, has extended its early bird deadline to January 14, giving even more people the chance to avail of discounted tickets to the event.

Early Bird rates are at P2,250 for a two-day conference pass and P1,950 for a two-day student pass while regular rates are at P2,500 for the conference pass and P2,200 for the student pass.

The conference, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, will run for two days –  a first in its history.

It is set to happen on January 31 and February at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay.

Local speakers include contemporary artists Leeroy New, Cebu-based designer Nick Automatic, and graphic designer AJ Dimarucot, as well as production house 88 Storey Films, represented by  director Sid Maderazo.

Graphika will also feature speakers from around the world, such as Bangkok-based graphic designer Pomme Chan, designer and technologist from New York Joshua Davis, English designer Seb Lester, as well as Brooklyn-based digital designers Anon Repponen and Irene Pereyra and Singapore’s Fizah Rahim and Rezaliando, whose collaborative project Machineast is responsible for the 2015 conference’s branding.

Representative speakers from studios and design houses from around the world are also set to converge at the conference: Chris Lee for Singapore branding and spatial design house The Asylum, Endric Godes for Barcelona communication studio Vasava, and Benson Shum for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The conference is open to designers, artists, students, art enthusiasts, and creatives at heart.
