Manila’s bar scene just got a little bit funkier with the arrival of Hoegaarden Rosée, a rose-tinged, raspberry flavored beer.

MAKATI CITY – Hoegaarden, a Belgium-based brewery best known for their wheat beer launched Hoegaarden Rosée in the Philippines last month. It was introduced at Draft Gastropub last night where it will be distributed exclusively for three months. It is similar in body to the original Hoegaarden wheat beer, but is infused with raspberry, creating a rich, fruity aroma with subtle hints of spice and coriander. Just like the original wheat version that Filipinos have come to love, the Rosée is fermented twice but is unfiltered, creating a cloudy appearance and smooth texture. The Rosée leaves no bitter aftertaste, making it the perfect choice for the ladies who want a quiet nightcap, something to pair with a meal, or simply want a drink that would help them to relax.  With a low alcohol content of just 3%, the Rosée may even be enjoyed during lunch breaks or during those lazy afternoons spent lounging around the beach.

Chester Cabrera, Marketing Manager of Booze Online, Hoegaarden’s exclusive distributor in the Philippines comments on how Filipinos enjoy variety in drinks. “The Hoegardeen Rosée is an exciting addition that Filipino beer lovers, especially women, would definitely enjoy. We have always felt that the female market needed more drink options, so we are delighted to bring the Rosée to the Philippines. Its sweet taste and lightness is perfect for the tropical climate of the Philippines,” he said.

Especially formulated by the Hoegaarden Brewery in Belgium, the Rosée is a concoction of barley malt, wheat, hops, coriander, Curaçao orange peel, Hoegaarden yeast, sugar, sweeteners, raspberry, strawberry, apple, and elderberry. It’s available in draught, 330mL can, 250mL bottle and 750mL bottle.
