MANILA — There are at least two good things about this hump day Wednesday—one, it’s payday; two, McRib is now available in the Philippines starting today.
McRib is one of the limited edition menu items sold by McDonalds. It is a fillet of rib-shaped pork bathed in barbecue sauce sandwiched between extra long caramelized buns which was first introduced in the US.
It’s available at an a la carte price of PHP 99 or if you like greens on your sandwich, you may choose to go deluxe.
Yesterday, Starcom Mediavest Group, together with the marketing team of McDonalds Philippines launched the McRib at Eton Centris in Quezon City. Other than getting a taste of the newest sandwich ahead of everyone else, members of the media, bloggers and McDo loyalists were treated to a day of games and went home with special prizes.
