MANILA – The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of The Philippines (IMMAP) has relaunched its annual digital awards show “The Boomerang Awards” with a shortened moniker and sharper focus on fresh digital campaigns with high impact.
Now called The Boomerangs, now seeks to bring to together and honor not just effective and efficient campaign but also ingenious digital ideas inspired by consumers. Wrapping it all together is the theme is “innovation takes flight,” inspired by the growing relevance of digital and mobile media, the rise of content creators, and data-driven platforms that connect Filipinos with the rest of the world.
The show introduces two new awards this year to reflect its celebration of consumer-centric innovation and effectiveness:
Utility Effectiveness: This award recognizes ingenious solutions that fill a gap in consumer needs and provide best-in-class user experience.
Innovative Excellence: A special award given to the most advanced, original and inventive digital marketing solution.
“During last year’s show, we could tell that our industry was ready for a bigger challenge,” says Kichi Madlansacay, co-chairperson of this year’s Boomerangs. “Strategy, creativity, and results will always be important, but innovation creates the biggest, long-term impact.”
The Boomerangs is open for entries. Deadline for submission is July 31, 2015.
