MANILA – Everest conquerers Noelle Wenceslao, Janet Belarmino, and Carina Dayondon, along with social advocate Rosario Juan are among the women who are starring in the Google Doodle for International Women’s Day. Wenceslao, Belarmino, and Dayondon are the first Filipinas to climb Mt. Everest, and Juan is the lead mobilizer of #rescueph.
The interactive doodle, live on google.com.ph now, allows users to view video messages from inspirational women from around the world.
Apart from the four Filipinas, the doodle also features Pakistani education and women’s rights activist Malala Yousafzai, Australian photographer and women’s advocate Anne Geddes, and Indian five-time World Boxing champion Mary Kom.
The doodle will run until March 9.
