MANILA – In what the young, independent agency considers a stroke of luck, IXM announced their appointment as creative AOR by Toyota Fortuner in the Philippines – their biggest account win to date.

IXM bested competitor agencies Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, Dentsu Philippines, and Catalytx. IXM thus added the undisputed number one SUV brand in the Philippines and in many countries to their portfolio.

“The new 2016 Fortuner is an even better version of itself. It’s bigger, better, faster, and stronger. To think that it’s already the best in its class! Talk about perfecting what’s already perfect,” commented IXM Chief Executive Officer Third Domingo.

Domingo also shared that the materials they are producing for Toyota Fortuner are not very different from what they pitched. “We showed surprising and excellent knowledge of the product, the brand, and the market. That’s why we won,” he said.

The agency also attributes the win to the assistance that Delphys-Hakuhodo, Toyota’s in-house agency, extended to them. The call for the Toyota Fortuner pitch was prompted by Delphys-Hakuhodo’s search for a partner here in the Philippines since they currently do not have a local office. In an interview with adobo magazine, Domingo also revealed that they are currently in talks with Delphys-Hakuhodo for a “possible and permanent collaboration.”

IXM has already started rolling out the materials for Toyota Fortuner which will continue throughout the year.

“It is going to be a very exciting year for Toyota Fortuner. We have already launched teaser materials, but do watch out for the major launch very soon,” shared Arrow Mempin, IXM’s Senior Account Manager for Toyota Fortuner.
