MANILA – In a move to elevate its creative team, J. Walter Thompson Manila has announced two new promotions–Javey Villones and Enzo Cruz take on the position of Creative Director at JWT Manila.
Villones is a home-grown talent, starting his career at the agency as an intern while he finished his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines. “His steady pursuit of creativity led him through one creative success after another,” said in a release sent by JWT Manila. He was a keyplayer behind the agency’s successful campaigns inlcuding Kitkat “Breaker Benches”, Benadryl “Allergic Alice” digital hit, Manulife “Start Your Story” journey, to mention a few. His work has been recognized in Kidlat Awards, Spikes Asia, Adfest, AME’s, and more.
Meanwhile, Cruz has spent the last 6 years at JWT, after stints at Campaigns & Grey, Abu Dhabi, and Draft FCB. “Starting as a copywriter, he quickly took on the leadership role in his team. He’s been the lead for the agency’s top brands: Unilever, J&J, HSBC, Del Monte and Bayer. Amidst being a consummate creative thinker, he’s been successful in growing the business for his brands.”
As part of the agency’s commitment to train high performers in the agency, Javey and Enzo have been sent for continued training to JWT New York as part of the Global HIP programme.

Villones and Cruz will lead their own teams and will continue to report to the ECD.
