MANILA – Joe Dy has been appointed as executive creative director of McCann Worldgroup Philippines, effective early 2015.
Dy takes up the post from JWT Manila, which he re-joined in February 2012 after moving to BBDO Guerrero in 2010. At JWT, Dy was creative director and head of copy, and also functioned as deputy ECD in the extended absence of the ECD. During his JWT stint, the agency brought home the Philippines’ second Gold Lion at Cannes with the ‘Icons’ campaign for Schick.
Dy’s work such as ‘Icons’, ‘Unsilent Night’ for Eden Cheese, and ‘Perspectives’ for Kythe has been recognized at various awards shows both local and international, including Cannes, AdFest, Spikes Asia, New York Festivals, the London International Awards, and Kidlat.
Dy is also director of competition for the Kidlat Awards, and a member of the Philippine Creative Guild.
