MANILA – If you missed Manila’s Justice League Run in April, here’s your chance to join the Cebu leg on September 26, 2015. DC Comics or Warner Brothers TV/movie enthusiasts are sure to enjoy this activity that combines their fandom with fitness.
Offering sign up rates at Php 600 for the 3K race, Php 700 for 5K, and Php 800 for the 10K event, the race hopes to draw 4,000 runners or enthusiasts from the Visayas region. All finishers will receive a limited edition medal –one of the rare fun runs nowadays to keep the goodwill going with this gesture.
Apart from the singlet, participants will receive a race kit which includes a sling bag, race manual, race bib, and the Justice League mask or cape corresponding to the singlet’s design. Wonder Woman gets a tiara, the Flash gets a mask, Green Lantern has a mask, Superman gets a cape, and Batman gets a mask –because, well, we’re sure Bruce Wayne will prioritize his secret identity over wearing a cape.
Also unique to the Justice League Run is how participants can register. In addition to partnering with a retail partner like Chris Sports to facilitate singlet sales, the organizers also went the e-commerce route with Zalora. The idea is to make it more accessible for the public, which in turn shows how online shopping is increasingly becoming part of everyday life.
