The JWT network’s awards streak moves from Pattaya to Goa: JWT India won the sole Grand Prix for its “Teach India” campaign in the Best Use of Direct category.
Overall, JWT India won 24 Abbys consisting of 1 Grand Prix, 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 13 Bronze and Contract India won 13 Abbys including 5 Silver and 8 Bronze.
JWT’s senior leadership actively participated in Goafest. JWT India CEO Colvyn Harris, acting as festival Chairman; Michael Maedel, JWT President, for Asia-Pacific, flew in to attend.
“I was glad that I could participate in Goafest this year, which offers young talent a perfect opportunity to share ideas and to inspire each other,” said Maedel. “JWT’s Grand Prix win is an important recognition that JWT remains laser-focused on the quality of the work.”
Other highlights included two Golds for JWT India: one Gold for the Times of India-Run/Ban Jallikatu campaign — created to spark debate on whether to run or ban the 350 year old bull-running festival in Tamil Nadu, and one for the Fresh Flower Bouquet campaign for Spring Blossoms.
