MANILA – Philippine Arts and Culture is the focus of the brief for the Kidlat E.Zobel Diwa award, which celebrates creativity and humanity.
The brief’s objective is to “create a sense of urgency on the need to uplift the state of Philippine arts and culture”, targeting an audience of government agencies and its officials, the private sector, and the general public.
According to the brief, “Not enough is being done to uplift and propagate Filipino arts and culture—despite a rich heritage and people known for being prolific and creative.”
“We have so much talent that can make our nation proud. We should nurture and promote it so that we can share it with the world and amongst ourselves,” it said.
Those who want to join the competition can visit the Kidlat website for more information, including the full brief and contest rules.
The award is open to all, including 4As and non-4As member agencies, students, clients, production houses, media, PR, and design shops.
The deadline for entries is on February 20, 2015, with the top three ideas being flown to the Kidlat Awards in Boracay, where they will be presented to the Kidlat jury and EZOBEL Foundation board member Mercedes Zobel.
