MOSCOW – Manila-based agencies BBDO Guerrero and Leo Burnett Manila were among the winners at the Red Apple Awards, Russia’s premiere advertising festival that ran from September 18 to 19 at Moscow’s Digital October.
Leo Burnett Manila was awarded one of the 13 Golds given, winning in the Social Advertising category for ‘Aid Couture,’ a campaign for Procter & Gamble that raised money for Typhoon Haiyan relief by selling clothing donations that are inappropriate for the typhoon survivors.
Also winning a Gold was BBDO Guerrero’s ‘Liter of Light at Night’ in the Innovative Advertising category. The campaign for Pepsico International and MyShelter Foundation makes night lights out of used plastic bottles to light up the homes of areas that do not have electricity.
BBDO Guerrero also claimed a Silver award for Pantene’s ‘Label’s Against Women,’ which won in the Digital Advertising category. The video went viral after its release for its depiction of the unfair stereotypes of women.
