Leo Burnett Manila to represent PH at ADFEST 2016 Young Lotus competition

MANILA – After competing with 28 other hopeful pairs, the Leo Burnett duo of Martin Flordeliza and Dan Tingcungco emerged as the winning team who will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Young Lotus Competition. This will be held at ADFEST 2016 on March 16-20 in Pattaya, Thailand.

Their campaign AirTBT (Throwback Tirahan) was chosen as the best pitch for this year’s brief about cultural heritage for the client, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. The objective was to keep the cultural heritage alive, the target audience were passive millennials.

“The young creatives from Leo Burnett made a campaign that is highly insightful and strongly implementable. From their hugot to creative executions, they were able to speak the tongue of the passive millennials and make them relevant in preserving our cultural heritage,” said Herbert Hernandez, ECD of Y&R Philippines and one of the jury members of the first ever local Young Lotus live judging held at Publicis JimenezBasic’s conference hall.

The jury was composed of Don Sevilla (WOO), Alvin Tecson (Publicis Manila), Herbert Hernandez (Y&R), Evans Sator (IXM), and Cey Enriquez (Leo Burnett Manila).

Stephan Domingo and Lance Francisco from BBDO Guerrero came in at second place while Rabnell Evangelista and Eunice Jocelle Maximo from Campaigns & Grey placed third.
