Leo Burnett Phils. has announced the departure of Lilit Reyes, executive creative director of its operating unit Black Pencil, effective mid-April.
Credited with award-winning ads for Cinemalaya (“Playtime” and “Snapshot” topped local award shows in 2007 and 2008), McDonald’s, P&G and the CCP, Reyes has been with Burnett for 15 years. Former Creative Guild president, Palanca Award winner for Best Screenplay, Raw School’s brave opening speaker and much-read blogger, Reyes leaves to pursue interests outside the business where he has spent most of his professional and personal life.
Commenting on Reyes’ departure, Burnett Managing Director Raymond Arrastia said, “Lilit has been a powerful creative force not only at Burnett but also in the industry. We look forward to seeing him win more awards, and it won’t be surprising if he bags more honors aside from advertising.”
Off hours, Reyes was recently the sparkling host of adobo’s third anniversary with his idol Cherie Gil, and orchestrated Richard Irvine’s ECD-studded karaoke farewell video last year. So who’ll make his video?
