‘Liter of Light’ picks up the International Honorary Prize at AD STARS 2014

BUSAN – ‘Liter of Light’ was awarded the International Honorary Prize at the AD STARS 2014 opening ceremony after being selected by board members of the festival’s organizing committee.

The award is given to an individual or organization that has “contributed to the advancement of the advertising industry and development of social responsibilities according to an international point of view.”

‘Liter of Light’ was launched in 2011 by PepsiCo International and MyShelter Foundation with BBDO Guerrero. The campaign takes used plastic bottles and turns them into solar lights, which are then installed in areas that do not have electricity. 

In 2013, ‘Liter of Light at Night’ launched, improving the original solar bulb technology by installing a circuit that allows it to work even at night. ‘Liter of Light at Night’ is a finalist in Diverse Insights and Outdoor at AD STARS.
