ASIA – GrabCar has just rolled out 150 Star Wars-themed cars on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok as part of a regional marketing campaign with Disney Southeast Asia for the blockbuster hit.

GrabCars featuring the timeless Imperial Stormtrooper and BB-8, the astromech droid belonging to Resistance Pilot, Poe Dameron will be on the road until December 30 but each country has their own unique spin on the campaign.

Indonesia ups the ante with five hundred specially wrapped taxis and motorcycle taxis in Jakarta, under the GrabTaxi and GrabBike brands. The Philippines will also offer STAR WARS-themed GrabBikes, and will extend their campaign to 14 January 2016. All three brands – GrabCar, GrabTaxi and GrabBike – are available in the same GrabTaxi mobile app.
GrabTaxi is also giving away Star Wars merchandise to people who share a photo of a Star Wars GrabCar on social media. There are 15 tickets up for grabs and will be awarded daily.
