MANILA – 14 Philippine agencies are on the Tambuli Awards 2014 shortlist, led by McCann Worldgroup Philippines with six finalist entries:
- ‘The Healthiest Epidemic’ for Nestle Philippines, Inc.
- ‘Keeping Filipino Traditional Recipes Alive’ for Nestle Philippines, Inc.
- ‘Alpo: Caring for the Underdogs’ for Nestle Philippines, Inc.
- ‘#RebuildPH’ for Coca-Cola Far East Limited
- ‘Coca-Cola Social Command: Task Force to Address Social Negativity Among Teens’ for Coca-Cola Far East Limited (2)
Leo Burnett Manila followed with four finalists, including ‘Aid Couture’ for Procter and Gamble, and three campaigns for Golden Arches Development Corporation: ‘Happy Meal’, ‘Hooray for Today’, and ‘Kuya (Big Brother)’.
Meanwhile, BBDO Guerrero, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, and DM9 JaymeSyfu had three finalist entries each. Fresh from winning a D&AD Yellow Pencil, DM9’s ‘Smart TXTBKS’ was shortlisted in three categories.
Other shortlisted entries from the Philippines came from Ace Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising (2), Activations Advertising (2), Publicis JimenezBasic (2), DDB Philippines, Inc. (1), FleishmanHillard Manila (1), IdeasXMachina (1), Lowe Philippines (1), Ogilvy & Mather Philippines (1), and Strategic Works, Inc. (1).
From Australia, McCann Melbourne’s ‘Dumb Ways to Die’ for Metro Trains Melbourne and Leo Burnett Melbourne’s ‘Volunteer to Promote’ for SEEK Volunteer Melbourne were finalists.
From Bangladesh, Adcomm Limited’s ‘Robi Flag Campaign‘ for Robi Axiata Limited was the only finalist.
From India, three agencies were on the shortlist, led by Lowe Lintas and Partners with six finalist entries. Among these were ‘100% Natural. Seeded.’ for Hindustan Unilever Limited India and ‘Help a Child Reach 5’ for Unilever India.
From Japan, Hakuhodo Kettle Inc.’s ‘Hands On Search’ for Yahoo! Japan and Hakuhodo Inc.’s ‘Rice-Code’ for Inakadate Village Office made the shortlist.
From Malaysia, Rapp’s ‘R.AGE Against Bullying’ for Star Publications and Lowe & Partners’ ‘Rexona Move’ for Unilever Malaysia were on the shortlist, the latter being listed in two categories.
Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘One Rinse Pledge’ for Unilever Singapore was the lone finalist from Singapore.
There was also one finalist from Thailand: Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘Thai Health Promotion Mission Impossible: Reducing Thais Paunches’ for Thai Health Promotion.
Vietnam had two finalists: Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘Baby Knows Best Vietnam’ for Family Health International and Lowe Vietnam’s ‘Proud-sourcing’ for Unilever Vietnam.
