MANILA – After 12 years as McDonald’s Philippines’ Senior Vice President for Marketing, Margot Torres has recently been promoted to Executive Vice President and Deputy Managing Director of the food chain brand.

As the new EVP and Deputy MD, Torres continues to be responsible for the marketing, menu, PR, customer care, local store marketing and now including the strategy & insights and IT areas of McDonald’s Philippines.

Torres’ team together with creative agency Leo Burnett Group Manila were behind McDonald’s successful campaigns including, most recently, the Beat the May Weather campaign for the historic Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight, the very first #AlDub TVCs called the ‘#AlDubKoTo’ and the McTollbooth, a part of the global #imlovinit24 campaign by McDonald’s which has been awarded in local and international festivals.

In an interview with adobo, Torres share with us some of her future plans for McDonald’s Philippines, “Our future plans will still focus on achieving our vision of being first choice. I would want to future proof brand McDonald’s in the Philippines and make sure it adapts to our customer’s changing needs and desires.”

Apart from Torres, “Beat the May Weather” copywriter Mela Advincula has also been promoted to creative director, and brand marketing manager Christina Lao to marketing director.
