MANILA – Every year since 2013, McDonald’s has been surprising the Filipino early risers with breakfast meals especially delivered to where they are.
They’ve delivered breakfast McMuffins and brewed coffee to MRT clerks and operators, tricycle and jeepney drivers. But this year, McDonald’s went the extra mile and paddled their way to surprise another segment of early Filipino risers.
In the middle of the dark waters with the moon and a makeshift lamp as the only light guiding the unsuspecting fishermen, another bright light gleams from not so far away. Sailing the seas on an especially made boat are the brave McDonald’s crew, happily handing 40,000 McMuffin breakfast sandwiches to our morning heroes.
This activation by Leo Burnett Manila is part 4th National Breakfast Day celebration. Apart from the fishermen, farmers, school teachers, security guards and street sweepers all over the Philippines also got to enjoy the special treat from McDonald’s.
