Miguel Ramos to steer Dentsu Aegis Network in the Philippines

MANILA – Dentsu Aegis Network has named Miguel Ramos as the Chief Executive Officer for the group’s operations in the Philippines. Ramos will step into his new role, starting July 1 and will report into regional Chairman & CEO, Dick van Motman. 

The combined network, which employs 159 people in the country,  announced on June 11 changes in its leadership team in the Philippines as part of the next phase of integration between the former Dentsu and Aegis brands.   

With innovative brand building at its core, the Dentsu Aegis Network will continue to provide unparalleled integrated solutions to clients in the Philippines by tapping into the presence of its agency brands in the country; Dentsu Philippines, Dentsu Media Philippines, Carat, Isobar, iProspect, Posterscope and Mediaforce Vizeum.

Commenting on the new leadership, Dick van Motman, Chairman & CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia said, “We are lucky and blessed to have so many talented and passionate people in our network and I believe that Ramos is the right person to steer the network in the Philippines into the next era. Ramos, who is currently Chairman of Aegis Media in the Philippines, will lead Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines and work closely with the respective agency heads of all the Dentsu Aegis Network brands to drive the day-to-day operations in the Philippines. He is a second-generation advertising and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience managing creative, digital and media specialist agencies for some of the world’s biggest global brands, and successful challenger Asian brands. 

A hands-on leader with a strong entrepreurial drive, Ramos started out on the creative side of the business leading indie Agency ASPAC to a two-time win of the Independent Agency of the Year Award before moving to head the Aegis Media Philippines operations. He is an industry thought leader who has been at the helm of both the 4As Philippines and the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) in the past.
