GLOBAL – Brand New Media (BNM) has named industry veteran Mike Constantino as managing director of its operations in the Philippines. Constantino possesses over 18 years of experience in various strategic and creative disciplines covering media, digital and marketing.

His most recent role was as country sales director of Yahoo Philippines, where his responsibilities spanned across sales and revenues, content marketing, business development, events, advertising, public relations, among many others.  Constantino was instrumental in posting record numbers in revenues and audience as the company expanded into tentpole events like the Yahoo Celebrity Awards and various key partnerships – from content and above-the-line to long-term partnerships with the region’s key agencies and advertisers.

Prior to Yahoo, Constantino was the marketing head for Asia Pacific at ABS-CBN Global where he expanded The Filipino Channel’s footprint to countries like Singapore, Guam, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia & Cambodia, resulting in a 25 per cent increase in subscriber base across the region.

Constantino started his love affair with digital when he joined Level-Up! Games as Business Unit Head for Casual Games in 2006.  He currently sits as Director in the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) for two years running.
In his new role, Constantino will be responsible for overseeing the management of the BNM business model as the company launches and expands in the Philippines. The company recently announced a partnership with TV5 under MediaQuest Holdings to launch a multi-channel internet television network in the Philippines, to go live this April. This partnership will also be establishing a state-of-the-art digital production studio to cater to the high volumes of specialty content required for the emerging digital media industry in the Philippines.

“Of all the many products I’ve handled and marketed over the years, Content remains the closest to my heart.  The mix of creativity, marketing and now optimization and targeting through relevant data is a potent one – only BNM can deliver such an unbeatably complete solution.  I’m looking forward to filling the content void in the Philippines, making BNM the go-to premiere Content Marketing, Production and Multi-Channel Network outfit in this market and beyond.  With our partnership with MediaQuest, the possibilities are endless,” said Constantino.

Constantino is set to lead alongside Damien Bray, BNM’s Global Development Director as well as Emmanuel C. Lorenzana, TV5 President and Chief Executive Officer. He will be supported by Brand New Media’s Asia regional team including Nick Fawbert, BNM Asia MD.

Bray commented, “Mike is a great addition to our expanding Brand New Media family, as we launch into our second Asian market, after Singapore. I’m excited about the opportunity this presents for our existing and new clients, to ensure BNM delivers the most cutting edge content marketing solutions in the region.”

“His well-rounded experience covers traditional and digital media, agencies, broadcasting, strategic planning, business development and events. I look forward to working with Mike in delivering innovative cross-platform content marketing solutions for brands, and help grow and strengthen the landscape of online video and digital media consumption in the Philippines,” added Lorenzana.
