Suresh Narayanan has been named as the new chairman and CEO of Nestlé Philippines effective April 1. He will be succeeding John Miller who will take on a new role at Nestlé Africa starting this June.
Previously, Narayanan was chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt and head of the Nestlé Business for North East African Region (NEAR), a post he assumed since 2010.
He started his career with Nestle back in 1999 as executive vice president for sales in India. He was also assigned to Nestlé Indochina in 2003, as executive director for sales, marketing and food services covering Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam.
He returned to Nestlé India as executive vice president and head of sales covering India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal in 2005 then became managing director of Nestlé Singapore Pte Ltd from 2008 to 2010.
“I depart, reassured by the knowledge that our business is in good health and could not be in better hands. I am delighted to be handing over to Suresh who, for the last four years, has been ably leading the Nestlé business in Egypt and Libya in a highly challenging environment,” Miller said.
