MANILA – Millennials are certainly not ones to stay quiet, and now the voice of the outspoken generation is about to get even louder with the launch of Scout Magazine, a new publication that describes itself as “scrappy, creative, curious.”
Scout is poised to be “the only free publication designed for millennials that focuses on their interests: culture, art, music, film, events, people, and more,” a press release said.
“Like the readers the magazine was created for, Scout is always on the lookout: not only for trends, but also for authentic matters of interest, and curates their finds in print and online for their decidedly smart-is-cool audience,” it said.
Appropriately, the magazine’s maiden issue focuses on firsts: from a list of first tattoos you might want to reconsider getting, a girl’s first brush with the male gaze, what to wear to your first job interview, plus a celebration of childhood firsts.
Scout Magazine will be officially launched on July 12 with a ‘90s-themed party at the Samsung Hall at SM Aura, complete with performances by Pedicab, Tarsius, Ang Bandang Shirley, Cheats, The Strangeness, DancePlayCreate, Ransom Collective, Autotelic and Kai Honasan with sets by DJs Brian Cua, Judd Figuerres and Xtina Superstar.
