MANILA – Almost 6 months after love won in the United States, when the Supreme Court ruled same sex marriage constitutional, Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Philippines relived the joy of #LoveWins by celebrating love, life and laughter at with the elderly at Home for the Golden Gays.

When their founder, Justo Justo, died in 2012, all the elderly gay members of the community, who are 40 years old and above were displaced from the facility and are either housed with their secondary families, or worse, living nomadic around the streets of Metro Manila. As the chosen beneficiaries of OMG Cares, the agency’s annual CSR project, OMG will be helping them with their day-to-day needs.

Some of OMG Philippines’ clients Alaska, Watsons, Oishi, IPI, Peerless, and Ulalammm also took part in the outreach project by providing donations in kind.

“The true meaning of #LoveWins is what you carry in your heart – love and compassion that transcend age, race, and gender preferences,” shares Mary Buenaventura, CEO of OMG Philippines. “We are humbled by how much joy they can share to others despite having very little means. This is also our way of opening our eyes and hearts to the issues surrounding the LGBT community.”
