Pantene’s ‘Labels Against Women’ ad by BBDO to be shown at UN women’s day conference

MANILA – The viral ‘Labels Against Women’ ad by BBDO Guerrero has been chosen to air at the United Nations observance of International Women’s Day on March 8.

The ad will be shown at the UN conference, ‘Equality for Women in Progress for All,’ in their New York headquarters. UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon, UN general assembly president John Ashe, U.S. senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, UN women executive director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, and World YWCA Board vice president Andrea Nunez will be among the attendees.

Meanwhile, to celebrate International Women’s Day, the female staff of BBDO Guerrero posed for professional portrait shots, accompanied by their own message of empowerment.

According to a press release, the agency said that they were “keen to pick up the theme of their recent Pantene commercial that had encouraged women to ‘shine boldly.'”

“The occasion of International Women’s Day seemed the perfect time to unveil them,” the press release said.

The shots were taken by Michael Fallarme and styled by William Montojo.

Francine Kahn-Gonzalez, BBDO Guerrero managing director said, “We have a vocal and empowered female workforce here at the agency and so we wanted to find an enjoyable way of marking the occasion. Having the portraits taken was not just fun for everyone but gave everyone an opportunity to think about the issues that were important to them”.
