ASIA-PACIFIC – THAILAND, SEPTEMBER 2, 2013 – Why do visually impaired kids need to be separated from the normal sighted when reading books, when they can actually read together?
Together with the Thailand Association of the Blind, BBDO Proximity breaks down the wall by blending Braille with English to encourage equivalence between the blind and the fully sighted ones. For The Storybook for All Eyes, the agency used a newly created font called “Fusion” – an embossed font with dots and sketches which can animate the book that blind kids could distinguish.
A short video was also released to promote awareness that this creation can change the world, specifically the disparities of the blind from the fully-sighted.
