Recently launched at the RoadRunner party Power Unleashed impressed the local advertising industry. The film earned a spot in the top eight entries for the Animated Short Film – Open Category in the annual CG Excellence competition. RoadRunner is the first Philippine company to join CG Overdrive, Asia’s biggest computer graphics conference in Singapore. Power Unleashed was chosen out of 45 entries from CG artists and teams from all over the world.
Dave Yu, RoadRunner’s Visual Effects Supervisor, says Power Unleashed sets the benchmark for the local advertising industry in terms of visual effects. Direk Sid Maderazo, director of Power Unleashed, adds that this project is proof that post production possibilities today are limitless. The animation technology is available locally from RoadRunner.
