MANILA – Simone Legno, the creative director and co-founder of Tokidoki is set to visit Manila on January 30 to 31 as one of the speakers for Graphika Manila. Simone, together with 11 other speakers on creativity from around the world will take part on the premiere creativity conference in the Philippines which will be held at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex.
The conference will be an interesting event for creative design enthusiasts as the famous artist will be talking about his very own designs and creations. The expansion of Tokidoki around the world will also be highlighted during Simone’s session, as well as the current and future projects of his company.
Simone is an Italian who has so much love for Japanese culture. He founded Tokidoki in 2003 together with entrepreneurs Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold. Now, Tokidoki has approximately 1000 boutiques in 60 countries worldwide. It is also known for collaborating with other famous brands, the latest of which was for the 10th anniversary of Barbie. The creative collaboration of the two brands included Simone’s version of tokidoki Barbie dolls. Other known collaborations were with known Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo, Onitsuka Tiger Shoes, Dim Mak and Groove.
The designer who is now one of the most sought after speakers in the world has visited the Philippines in 2014 to familiarize himself with the Philippine market. He returned in Manila last September for a meet-and-greet at Asiapop Comicon.
