MANILA – Sony Mobile has turned to its fans for its search for a new brand ambassador to represent the Xperia smartphone and tablet line.
Called “The Search for The Next Global Exemplar,” the campaign invites die-hard Sony fans who holds the qualities of the Xperia brand in the highest regard.
The search covers a total of six countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Sony will choose one winner from each participating country to face-off in a photoshoot in Manila to determine the regional winner.
Country winners can rest easy since they are secured to be featured on promotional materials (Online and PR) and Sony’s official social media accounts for the world to see. The Philippine winner will be especially lucky, as he/she will be getting an additional Sony Home Entertainment package of a 50-inch BRAVIA TV and Soundbar worth Php 76,000.
To join, fans should choose one of the seven Xperia features they think they embody most. They need to show this by uploading a recent photo of themselves to the Sony Mobile Campaign microsite. Fans should provide the photo with a caption of less than 25 words to explain the Xperia quality they exemplify and why.
The call for Xperia’s entries started on May 26 and will end on June 14. Below is a list of the seven Xperia features the participants need to get creative with.

- Digital Noise Cancelling
- Connectivity with accessories: SmartWear
- High-resolution audio
