As September approaches, the first-ever Spikes Asia Festival is heating up. Myriam Coupard has been appointed Festival Director of the new event, which will combine an already established creative awards show (the former Media Spikes) with a new networking and learning platform patterned after Cannes Lions.
Coupard, a native of France now based in Singapore, joined the International Advertising Festival (known as IAF, organizers of Cannes Lions) seven years ago and has been Head of Delegates for Cannes Lions, Eurobest and Dubai Lynx.
Set Sept. 16-18, Spikes Asia will bring to the region a series of high-profile seminars and other initiatives aimed at providing creative inspiration, learning and networking opportunities. The festival will culminate in the Spikes Asia Awards. It is a joint venture between the IAF and Haymarket Publishing.
