Multi-awarded Steve Hough has left the Saatchi network after four years, to join Y&R in Malaysia.
Commenting on the move, Steve said that “The last four years has been terrific and I will miss working with the Saatchi team immensely. But it just felt like the right time to move on and do something different. … Things are rapidly evolving at Y&R, it’s a perfect time to be joining and be a part of the resurgent Y&R brand.”
In the last three years, Steve has a Gold Cannes Lion for the Amnesty International “Stamps” poster campaign, a Silver Lion for Wonderbra “3D” (the tenth most awarded poster campaign in the world for 2008, according to the Gunn Report) plus three Bronze Lions, a Gold Clio, and three Silver Clios and four Bronzes. In 2004 he received a D&AD Silver Pencil and One Show Gold Pencil for The Economist “Brain” poster.
On Steve’s appointment, Y&R Malaysia’s Chairman Dato’ Rishya Joseph says, “We’re delighted to have Steve on board. He is a great asset for Y&R in Malaysia and his appointment will give us the critical mass necessary to push ahead with a strong creative agenda”.
