Waze will now display special SM Supermall branded pins to provide users not just the fastest most efficient routes to them but also mall informatio like ongoing mall event and promotions, and 3-Day Sale alerts.
This is the first time a Philippine mall chain ties up with a global partner for social navigation. Waze, billed as the world’s largest community-based traffic and navigation app, currently have 1.8 million active Filipino users, fondly called as “Wazers.”
The SM-Waze partnership could be a welcome relief for hundreds of Filipinos now often stuck in Manila’s notorious congested streets. Instead of burning fuel and patience, the idea is entice people to spend time wisely by going to the nearest SM mall and be more productive doing necessities and even have a great time dining in or watching movies.
