MANILA – After 16 years of making history together, TBWA\SMP decided to cut ties with KFC. It was a great partnership that created a string of memorable campaigns that brought success to both parties. Some of these are the award-winning Unlimited Gravy Billboard and the TVCs that launched the KFC Chicken Fillet, Double Down sandwiches, and the Shrimp Surfer. TBWA\SMP thanks KFC for the faith that allowed them to consistently deliver effective and quality work.

Since 2001, KFC has been an important source of business and opportunities for the creative agency. The innovative spirit of KFC Marketing encouraged the creation of inspired, disruptive work.

“We certainly enjoyed working with KFC. The relationship wouldn’t last 16 years if we didn’t. That’s why this decision to end our partnership did not come easy,” says Jimmy Santiago, Managing Partner and Head of KFC Strategic Planning Team.

There were rumors since last year that the KFC business was going to be pitched in spite of a healthy relationship. At the start of 2017, TBWA\SMP decided that this is the best time to amicably part ways with the client.
