MANILA – TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno led the Philippine entries for AdStars 2014, with 43 finalists.
TBWA\SMP’s finalist entries were ‘Rock. Rebuild. Make the Logo Bigger 26’ for Lakihan Mo Logo, ‘Fulgoso’, ‘Monette’, and ‘Dawson’ for Cara Welfare Philippines, ‘Tree Lungs’ and Boysen KNOxOUT Audio Guide for Pacific Paint (BOYSEN) Philippines, Inc., the ‘Oolong’, ‘Chocolate’, ‘Soy Sauce’, ‘Designer Stains’, ‘PPC’, ‘SES’, ‘CRM’, and ‘BRO’ for Peerless Product Manufacturing, and ‘Koi Fish feed invite’ for Ayala Land Inc.
Other finalists from the agency were ‘Giv a Gif Tacloban’ for Suyen Corporation, ‘Pink’ ‘Teal’, ‘Blue’ and ‘Mirror’ for The Red Whistle Foundation, ‘Envirotech Exploded’ for Envirotech Waste Recycling Inc., and ‘Horror’ for Sharp Philippines.
A total of 92 entries advanced to the finals, including 21 from BBDO Gurrero, 13 from Leo Burnett Manila, and six each from Campaigns & Grey and Publicis JimenezBasic.
BBDO’s finalist entries included ‘Labels Against Women’ for P&G Philippines, ‘Liter of Light at Night’ for Pepsico International, ‘PHThankYou’ for the Department of Tourism, ‘Johnsons Baby Active Fresh Shadow Playground’ for Johnson & Johnson Philippines and the agency’s own ‘Unselfie’ typhoon Yolanda appeal.
Leo Burnett Manila’s finalists were ‘Big Cup’ and ‘Player’ for Golden Arches Development Corp., ‘Aid Couture’ for Procter & Gamble, and ‘Vultures’, ‘Silent Room’ and ‘Train’ for the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Publicis JimenezBasic’s finalists were ‘Call Stations’ for Jollibee Foods Corp,, ‘Wildside’ for Monde Nissin Corp., ‘Toto-toto-to-toothache’ for Unilab, ‘Picture’ for Canon Philippines, and ‘Fairytale’ and ‘Magic’ for Splash Corporation.
Campaigns & Grey’s finalist entries were ‘Sequins: Black’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ for Procter & Gamble Philippines, ‘Tire Donation’ for the Municipality of Quezon Province, ‘Park’ and ‘Wheelie’ for the Bureau of Internal Revenue, and ‘Yolanda (Haiyan)’ for A. Tung Chingco.
DM9 JaymeSyfu bagged finalist slots for ‘Caritas D/Date’ for Caritas Manila, and ‘Pocket Fire Extinguisher’ for City of Las Piñas.
Also on the finalists list was Y&R Philippines’ ‘Pro-Life Philippines Think’ for Pro Life Philippines Foundation Inc.
